Be A Volunteer

We need you.

Who can Join?

Anyone!  The Second Continental Army is open to all patriotic Americans and we will not discriminate against anyone for any reason.  We view all legal residents of this country as Americans, first and foremost–nothing else matters.  Now, with that being said, if you have any discriminatory tendencies (based on race, gender, age, sexual preference, etc.), you will not be welcome.  Also, as we are a patriotic organization, founded on the belief that the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are not “living documents” to be reinterpreted by the popular thought of the day, if you do not feel this way–or, if you consider yourself a far-left Democrat/progressive/socialist–we’re probably not the organization for you either.  However, we will still accept donations from you so feel free to contribute monetarily and we will be glad to fight for your right to have your views–as wrong as they may be.

What are the benefits?

Defending and preserving Liberty and Freedom for ourselves and future Americans!  On a more personal level, as the organization grows, members will be issued membership cards which will grant them a wide array of benefits at our State, Regional, and National offices and training facilities.  These will include the ability to use all our facilities at no cost, free or reduced rate training classes (both indoor and outdoor), discounts on everything sold in our (future) online store, and discounts with outside businesses with whom we establish those agreements.

What to do next?

Step 1: Sit Down with your Family and Complete a Budget

That may sound like a strange first step to joining any organization but you must have a household budget and operate within it.  In this budget, include everything and, if you don't currently, add funds for the purchase of food/water/firearms/ammo/first aid supplies, etc.  to insure you and your family improve your odds of surviving a short/intermediate/long term disaster.  Only after you set aside funds to routinely build upon your stockpiles should you then consider donating, and in what amount/frequency, to the Second Continental Army.

Step 2: Go to the Causes Page and Donate

Once you complete your monthly budget, if you realize you have some funds remaining and you want to donate to the Second Continental Army, go the to Causes page and donate.  Remember, we're only asking for $1 per month and, if that is all you can give, please select the "Operations Fund" to give that dollar.  If you can give more--or more often--we'll leave it up to you but, being a new organization, we have a lot of initial costs and the Operations Fund is definitely the most important at this time.  Please consider picking an amount and setting it to recur automatically.  As we get organized and grow, we'll send you a membership card which will grant you the use of our facilities and provide you with many other membership benefits.

Step 3: Ask Yourself if you have Beneficial Knowledge or Skills

Do you have any special skills or knowledge that would be beneficial to the organization?  This would include:  military experience, medical training, law enforcement/fire fighting experience, survival training, computer knowledge or experience building websites, computer security, graphic design, trades (construction, electrical, plumbing, etc.), and/or anything else you feel would be of assistance to a group such as ours.  If so, let us know--we'll gladly accept the additional knowledge/experience to our organization and be sure to utilize you to the benefit of everyone involved!

Step 4: Spread the Word

Tell as many people as possible about the Second Continental Army:  use social media, face-to-face meetings, community events--any opportunity to let people know about our existence is the perfect opportunity!  Feel free to share any articles posted on our site, link to our site/articles/postings, and, if you need promotional items, let us know and we'll do our best to assist you in that regard.  In the future, if you have a large group and you would like a representative from our organization to attend a meeting as a guest speaker, feel free to contact us and we can work out the logistics for this to happen.  The more people who learn about us, the quicker we can reach all of our goals.
