What is the Second Continental Army?

We’re an organization dedicated to the preservation to defending freedom and personal liberties as guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We are laying out a plan of action to work within the legal framework established by our nation’s laws which will allow us to initiate the changes required to return our country to the constitutional republic as it was intended to be.

We view ourselves as an “umbrella” organization to unite individuals/groups; provide training as well as a larger, comprehensive national strategy for implementing change; coordinate and facilitate the sharing of ideas and intelligence; and provide the necessary infrastructure for long-term sustainment of our organization and its goals.

Why did the Second Continental Army form?

There are two primary reasons: first, we are scared of the direction our country is going. The United States is rapidly moving to the Left politically; the Democrat Party has adopted a the full socialist platform of yesteryear while the Republicans have incorporated large portions of it into theirs. Socialism is an ideology which has failed everywhere it has been implemented yet, in addition to our politicians promoting it, our education system brainwashes the next generation of children with the false hopes of a socialist utopia.

Secondly, we got tired of hearing people complain–in personal conversations, in the media, and in comments written on social platforms–about how bad things are getting in this country and how no one does anything about it. But, these same people made no recommendations on how to correct the problems either. And, looking in the mirror, we have been guilty of that as well.

Now it’s time to change that.

Does the Second Continental Army wish to Overthrow the U.S. Government?

No, absolutely not. The plan of action we are proposing works within the legal framework established for political and business entities. Whether it is the formation of our group, the PAC, or anything else we do, everything is geared toward working peacefully within the system in order to change it.

If the SCA is a Peaceful Organization, Why such an emphasis on Weapons and Training?

Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum (If you want peace, prepare for war). Our country sits in a very perilous situation and we must be prepared for whatever the future holds.

Weapons and Tactical training is only one area of training to be offered. We will also be conducting training in the long-term storage of food, first aid, various survival courses, growing crops, animal husbandry, alternative power sources, etc. We want the knowledge of our members and affiliate organizations to be as well-rounded as possible so that their odds of surviving any situation is greatly enhanced.

Whether it is violent crime, a natural disaster, economic collapse, a tyrannical government, or a simple power outage, people need to have a plan and the training to implement that plan when it occurs. This is what we offer.

Are You Really Only Asking for $1

Yes! As stated in other areas on this site, we want you to focus on your personal preparations and only give us one dollar a month or week, whichever you choose. You are welcome–and we will gratefully accept–more money from you but that is your choice based upon your current financial situation.

We are relying on the law of large numbers where our goals can be reached by a large number of people giving a small amount of money. And, while the thought of three percent of the total population all donating one dollar per month/week is a great goal to have, we can accomplish a great deal of what we want to do with an amount much smaller.

How do I know my Donation is going to be used Properly?

Well, honestly, you don’t. Like any organization to whom you donate money, a certain amount of trust is involved (and, let’s be honest, we’ve probably all heard horror stories of groups and organizations (even churches) where the donations were not utilized as promised–or possibly stolen.

Our organization is just getting off the ground so we don’t have any examples of where money has been spent that we can provide to help alleviate your concern. But, other great organizations (Salvation Army, Wounded Warrior Project, Red Cross, NRA) all had to start somewhere and their initial donors/members had some of the same anxiety as what you may be feeling. But, look at those organizations now!

We assume the best way to alleviate people’s fears is to show we are a serious organization and be fully transparent in our activities and this is what we will do. Additionally, as we begin receiving donations and implementing our plan of action, those results will build confidence and trust.

Where will the National Headquarters and Training Facility be Built?

At this time, we do not have a set location but are leaning heavily toward somewhere in the Appalachians. Land is inexpensive, natural resources are abundant, the population is patriotic and friendly, cost of living is low, and the terrain is varied enough to offer several advantages.

When will a Regional/State Office and Training Facility be Built near Me?

That depends on the population and those who donate/join our organization. If the National Training Facility is built in the Appalachians, the second facility will be constructed west of the Mississippi River, with the exact location to be determined at a later date.

After the construction of the second location, all future locations will be determined by the regions/States where we have the most members and therefore receive the most donations.

I'm already the Member of a Group, can I still Donate/Join the SCA?

Of course! We’re not looking for exclusivity when it comes to this area–in fact, we hope you’re aleady the member of an established group (civic, social, business, church, militia, etc.) in your area and have been taking the steps your group feels are important to your community.

We’re also not looking to exert any control or replace the leadership of any group.
